The Electrical Engineer roleis located at our modern new plant in New Castle Delaware.

The Electrical Engineer will be part of a dynamic cross functional engineering team in a world class organization supporting the manufacturing, development, and continuous improvement of the premier brand of Thermal & Rheological Instrumentation.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

 

 

The electrical engineering activities may involve:

Theoretical and experimental investigation

Technical direction and coordination

Conception and planning of resources to support hardware requirements

The analysis, evaluation, and solution of technical problems encountered in the application of manufacturing methods, facilities, processes, materials and tooling incident to the fabrication and assembly of high technology instruments

Responsible for maintaining the design of released products with the goal of continuously improving quality, customer satisfaction, efficiency of production and cost effectiveness

Follows established policies and procedures, performs professional manufacturing engineering assignments requiring full use and application of standard manufacturing principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.

Analyzes engineering drawings and support documentation for application to project requirements and producibility

Ability to troubleshoot: Provides imaginative, thorough, and practical solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving conventional utilization of manufacturing engineering techniques

Participates in development process to insure manufacturability, quality, and cost effectiveness of new products. Evaluates and selects appropriate manufacturing processes and suppliers. Leads effort to establish in-house assembly & test procedures

Investigates problems which arise in-house and at suppliers during the fabrication, assembly, and test of instruments and develops, evaluates, and implements solutions.

Analyzes problem data for trends and problem frequencies for prioritization of longer-term solutions

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

 

Bachelor's Degree - preferably BSEE, BSME, or other related discipline

Minimum of 5+ years' experience in engineering (electrical, manufacturing, quality etc.) or closely related field.

Should have comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated application of engineering principles, theories, concepts, and procedures used for the development of analytical instrumentation

Ability to work with others as an effective team member

Preferred:

Prior experience with Analytical Instrumentation is a plus.
