Purpose of the position:
The Learning Analytics Product Manager, Solutions Product Management reports to the Vice President Solutions Product Management. As the Product Manager working on learning analytics, you will hold the responsibility of translating data into actionable product improvements and specifications & processes to iteratively develop, deploy, and measure their performance against our goal of improving learner outcomes through personalized learning experiences. This role will work closely with various cross-functional teams, including but not limited to software engineering, content development, research and analysis, school-facing support teams, and service delivery teams.
+ Lead data-driven initiatives that inform product strategy and roadmap
+ Use data and analytics to understand student and caretaker behavior and drive continuous improvement of product portfolio
+ Create compelling data stories using analysis to support the improvement of student and caretaker experience
+ Understand the needs of our students, draw upon extensive user research done by the UX team and add new insights specific to improving learning and outcomes
+ Conduct discovery sessions that result in clear a problem to be solved and articulate a compelling ‘why’ the problem is worth solving
+ Perform value evaluation by creating lean business cases for your portfolio of products
+ Develop and continually define Epics and Capabilities for your product portfolio
+ Relationship Management
+ Build deep expertise and empathy for the customers and learners that use our curriculum, services, and software products
+ Develop rapport and trust with business owners and key stakeholders
+ Keep informed of industry trends, learning science, existing and emerging academic research on learning analytics, and competitive analyses to identify new opportunities and initiatives which ultimately serve the long-term product strategy
+ Business Management
+ Lead and support continual process improvement by proposing optimizations for any aspect of the product development lifecycle
+ Minimum 5 years of product management experience
+ Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods
+ Experience in an educational setting is beneficial, K-12 specifically is a plus
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to properly translate and articulate data trends.
+ Conversant in the data flow that underlies learning analytics including data storage, translation, and visualization techniques.
+ Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently
+ Ability to effectively meet deadlines
+ Technologically proficient (especially with Microsoft Office programs)
+ Agile/ SAFe experience preferred
