We are seeking a Social Media Manager to bring brand awareness to Pearson’s new college study app, Pearson , through the innovative and effective use of social media channels. This person will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and executing the social media strategies to expand our social footprint. This role reports to the Director, DTC Marketing.

Responsibilities

+ Creates original content for marketing campaigns across the Pearson social media channels which include, but are not limited to Instagram/Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube to drive awareness, engagement, and follower growth

+ Lead and drive the timelines, strategy, and cross channel alignment for social campaigns

+ Develops and maintains social brand voice across channels to ensure brand consistency and integrity across all content and platforms

+ Collaborates closely with Creative, Product Marketing, Global Brand, Pearson Campus Ambassadors, and external teams to strategize and develop content

+ Community management of customers and other stakeholders across social channels, including direct communication with customers and feedback

+ Sets KPI’s for social campaigns, including reach, engagement, likes, and analyzes performance

+ Provides guidance on campaign optimization methods to achieve campaign and channel objectives.

+ Oversees the creation and implementation of the monthly editorial calendar

+ Effectively communicate and report performance metrics of campaign planning strategy and goals with key stakeholders.

+ Stays up-to-date with trends across the industry and our audience

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based candidates expressing interest in this position is $80-$85K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.

Qualifications

+ 4-6 years of social media campaign and community management required

+ Experience working with agencies a plus

+ Digital subscription experience a plus

+ Retail or consumer goods experience is a plus

+ Proven track record of leading and executing successful social media and branding programs

+ Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, formatting, and performance algorithms

+ Experience working in highly cross-functional and matrixed organizations

+ Experience in analytics and reporting

+ Confident leader who can prioritize well and communicate clearly, both verbal and written, across all levels of the organization with a proven ability to influence others
