Job Summary (Primary function)

The Senior Manager, IT Technical Operations assess requirements, implements and maintains/supports software applications within the Technical Operations group, primarily focusing on the Quality and Laboratory areas.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

Provide functional and technical support to Tech Ops users both in US and Europe.

Understand the business processes and partners with the Business system owners/Business Leaders to implement systems that support their requirements/business process, meeting delivery metrics such as scope, cost and timelines.

Manage the implementation of multiple Tech Ops related projects (primarily in the Quality and Lab support areas).

Coordinate application testing, quality assurance, configuration, computer system validation, implementation and support to ensure the smooth and timely implementation of new software and additional phase/releases to existing applications.

Address other IT-related issues beyond the core implementation team based on knowledge of related IT areas.

Prepare project materials such as training materials, testing materials/scripts, release note summaries, etc.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

8 plus years of Pharmaceutical IT systems experience.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.

Experience with project management, good presentation skills, and leadership in a formal team environment.

Knowledge of IT infrastructure area, hardware and software installation and support experience.

Working knowledge of FDA compliance, computer systems validation, 21CFR Part 11 regulations and GAMP guidelines.
