General SummaryProvides professional nursing care to patients within assigned unit. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill are performed in accordance with practice policy, procedure, and philosophy. Essential Functions & Accountabilities
+ Performs nursing functions under the supervision of the charge nurse/clinical coordinator and providers.
+ Assure that all medical information and patient interaction is documented in the patient’s chart along with medications, allergies and medical history.
+ Performs all vital signs, diagnostic, evaluation, and technical procedures according to established policies and procedures.
+ Perform follow-up calls to walk-in patients and document the encounter.
+ Follows through on all tests, procedures, or tasks left from the previous shift, and reports any incomplete assignments to assure continuity of procedures.
+ Replaces all supplies used during the shift.
+ All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilitiesEducation and Experience Minimum Preferred Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing Experience: New grads accepted 1 or more years clinical experience in a physician’s practice or occupational health setting. Computer/Software Knowledge: Basic computer literacy including: Word, e-mail and internet applications Excel Licensure/ Certification Current licensure or eligibility from Delaware Board of Nursing or compact state as a GPN/LPN. BLS required.
