Description/Job Summary ******LOOKING FOR A REWARDING CAREER WHERE YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT!!!!!**** RHD is currently looking for a Lead DSP to join our team! /How YOU will make an Impact:/ The Lead Direct Support Professional (LDSP) directly supports the Site Supervisor in maintaining program operations in accordance with industry, federal and local regulations and requirements. In addition to providing direct-care to consumers and performing the duties of the Direct Support Professional, this leadership position serves as a mentor to other Direct Support Professionals via modeling effective interpersonal interactions, developing creative strategies aimed at enhancing consumers’ independent living skills, and maintaining professionalism. Required Experience Two years of experience working with individuals with IDD and/or Mental Healthissues Required Education * High School diploma or equivalent at a minimum;Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred. Required Qualifications * Basic computer and internet literacy with theability to utilize applications like emails, time recording and other programs to enter and retrieve data as necessary to perform the essential functions ofthe job. * Understanding of trauma, trauma-informed care, andthe creation of trauma-informed environments * Valid driver’s license Program Summary Choices provides a wide range of residential options,non-traditional day programming, consultative nursing and behavioral services and other support services to support individuals with developmental and other disabilities achieve their personal goals by expanding their horizons and opportunities in the community.
