Manager - Marketing Strategist
This position is an exciting Marketing Manager role within the Retail & Direct Bank of Capital One. This person will play a key role in the development of marketing strategy for all new programs and services put into the market. The person in this role will manage stakeholders, partners and vendors to create all pieces to support execution of marketing initiatives that drive business results.
This role is part of a larger cross-functional team working in an agile environment to bring customer-facing messages to market in our main channels, such as email, online banking, web, paid digital and more. This role is perfect for someone who has demonstrated skills in audience centric modern marketing strategy development, understanding of marketing technology and platforms, attention to detail, sound decision making, and presentation skills. This role is best suited for someone with a growth mindset and a can-do attitude.
The Manager will work closely with our Analysts to come up with a grounded strategy that will drive business results and customer value. The Manager will also partner with design, tech, legal and risk teams to ensure error-free launch and edits of our marketing plans. They will utilize marketing technology platforms and tools in bringing campaigns to life.
The ideal candidate will have:
A strong understanding of direct marketing channels and digital campaign execution
A strong understanding of marketing technology tools, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, email and creative optimization platforms, or measurement and analytic tools
Strong multi-tasking, organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of Digital Marketing channels such as PPC, Programmatic, Social, Email and SEO
Excellent communication and partnership skills, which are essential for interacting and communicating with team members and key stakeholders at all levels to manage, inform and influence outcomes
Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 5 years of marketing experience
Masters or MBA degree
7+ years of B2C marketing experience in a marketing department or agency environment
3+ years of experience in digital marketing channels
