In order to consolidate our business and continue our successful journey we are looking for a new colleague as a Product Specialist – Battery & Energy Storage Systems (Remote)

What you’ll learn & achieve:

+ Product Vision and Strategy

As Product Specialist – Batteries & ESS you will use the established product vision in concert with market understanding to inform the product strategy. You will evaluate market needs against UL’s and competitors’ unique abilities to address them. You support and contribute to the go-to-market strategy for Batteries & ESS, defining how value will be delivered to the customer/user, how the product is differentiated from the competition, and potential business models. You will assist in prioritizing product functions and features into a product roadmap and suggest a set of product goals, outcomes and corresponding metrics to continually evaluate against. Evangelizing and communicating the product vision, strategy and goals internally across the organization, as well as externally with clients.

+ Team Building and Culture

You will take ownership of own career and professional development by documenting and communicating career aspirations and any associated development needs to direct manager. You will also reach across other functions and businesses to effectively communicate product management priorities.

+ Product Organization and Processes

As a successful Product Specialist you will support an efficient cross-functional matrix structure to enable effective product development lifecycle. You will execute a robust set of processes to power all parts of the product development lifecycle from research/discovery to release management and product support. You will leverage a standard set of product management tools used across the product organization at each of the stages of the lifecycle.

What makes you a great fit:

+ University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.

+ 5 years or more of related discipline experience or demonstrated competency regading batteries as well as energy storage systems

+ Experience with working with remote teams is highly required

+ Project management certification is a plus.

+ Facilitation & Interview skills

+ Strong communication and presentation (PowerPoint) skills.

+ Market research skills

+ Open to travel occasionally (10-20%, mostly Europe)
