Assistant Vice President, USCB Credit Loss Forecasting Wilmington, DE

As a Barclays Assistant Vice President, USCB Credit Loss Forecasting you will be responsible for strategic and tactical loss forecasts of Barclaycard US Consumer Credit portfolios. You will support the Vice President and Director by gathering necessary data, incorporate business feedback, and communicate results. You will also have regular engagement with other functions (Finance, Business) and management. What will you be doing? • Be responsible for credit Loss Forecasts as part of Medium Term Planning, Short Term Planning, and Re-Adjusted Forecast exercises and associated documentation • Support presentations to regulators (FRBNY/FDIC/PRA) and Internal Audit during examinations • Supporting annual upgrade of loss forecasting engine/ model by defining requirements; working with peers in Finance, Treasury and Strategic Analytics and reviewing outputs • Working on ad hoc projects assigned by Senior Management What we’re looking for: • Graduate degree (ex. MBA, MS, PhD) in a quantitative, economic or other Math based discipline required • Experience in financial services Skills that will help you in the role: • Hands-on ability with analytic software (such as SAS/Python) to manage data and perform analysis • Experience in Loss Forecasting, or Decision Science, or Model Development or Model Validation disciplines for US Credit Card portfolios • Specific experience in loss forecasting functions within a financial services organization • Experience with a global bank resulting in knowledge of both US and International accounting standards (US GAAP ALLL, CECL, IFRS 9) Where will you be working?
