Christiana Care, Primary Care at Springside is looking for an Outpatient Medical Assistant.
The Springside practice is in Newark, Delaware. Springside offers a range of services, that includes physical examinations, preventative medicine, women's health, health screenings and immunizations, chronic disease management and much more. We are a team of five Physicians, two Advanced Practice Clinician, one Registered Nurse, one Licensed Practical Nurse, one Senior Medical Assistant, five Medical Assistants and three Office Assistants.
This is a full-time exempt Monday to Friday position.
All Medical Assistants are also required to work two late nights a week from 10am to 7pm.
All Medical Assistants are also required to work one Saturday every 14 weeks from 8am to 12pm. During your turn to provide Saturday coverage the office location will rotate between Springside and the New Castle office.
No holidays required.
High School Graduate or GED required.
A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant, is preferred but not required.
Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build and foster professional relationships in a team environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred but not required.
