Retail Risk Manager
The Product Experience ("PX") Customer Protection Risk Team focuses on providing the highest level of risk support to the teams engaged in fraud prevention, investigation, customer fraud case resolution, and fraud strategy that allow our customers to bank with confidence and security. PX risk managers work through unstructured problems and manage change while demonstrating superior problem-solving skills, strong business judgment, and executive presence. This role will be focused on Risk support for our Claims and Disputes area. If you have the passion to Protect our Customers and Protect our Bank, we need you!
Support the claims and disputes space and be willing to align to other areas within Customer Protection, if needed
Advise and consult with self-directed teams to help develop well-designed practices and processes
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with process managers, compliance advisors, legal counsel, auditors, and other risk managers to provide support while balancing risk, business objectives, and business impact.
Oversee risk event remediation impacting customers stemming from process breakdowns or other problems, developing permanent corrective actions
Work closely with key business associates and leaders responsible for ensuring compliance with all company, regulatory and legal requirements.
Coordinate activities and follow-up as appropriate with stakeholders in support of Risk remediation
Ability to effectively collaborate across diverse cross-functional teams and coordinate the work of people outside own area of responsibility to deliver results
Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and influencing skills with a high level of attention to detail
Manage multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines
Support second line of defense assurance reviews, internal audits, and regulatory exams
Bachelor's Degree or military experience or at least 4 years of financial services risk management experience
At least 2 years of experience in risk management, product management, financial services, or technology
4+ years of experience in a risk management, claims and disputes or fraud, or financial services
Quantitative and analytical skills with strong innovation and problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
