As a Senior Project Manager at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company's bottom line. General Responsibilities:

 

Lead moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to project customers, peers, and direct reports.

 

Design, develop, and manage project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements

 

Ensure projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time

 

Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent

 

Solve problems through innovation and rationalization of existing processes - get things done in a more efficient way

 

Partner cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery

 

Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments

 

Lead a team of process managers

 

Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts

 

Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment

 

Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through your leadership style

 

Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes

Additional Details

 

Create structure around a variety of new, unique efforts related to data management

 

Influence engagement and establish communication channels across the data community

 

Motivate and inspire direct reports to implement meaningful process improvements

 

Establish cross-functional relationships and connect a wide range of large and small Enterprise efforts

 

Able to establish and drive a vision and strategy while being willing to dig in and be a doer when necessary

 

Empathetic and willing to ask "why" - (why do that, why isn't the data community complying) to drive more informed outcomes and create results

 

Strategic, integrated thinker who can connect the dots between policies and the impacts for producers, consumers, and the business at large

 

Approach the day-to-day with a risk mindset

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's Degree or Military experience or at least 6 years of Project Management experience

 

At least 6 Years of Project Management experience

 

At least 1 Year of People Management experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Masters / MBA degree

 

10+ years of Project Management experience

 

3+ years of People Management experience

 

PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

 

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills

 

Excellent problem solving and influencing skills

 

Excellent innovation skills
