Incyte is seeking a candidate with proven experience in the crystallization of protein-small molecule complexes. He/she will be part of the structural biology team and will be responsible for the crystallization and optimization of crystals for the company's various drug discovery programs. Candidates with a demonstrated knowledge of protein expression, purification and characterization will be given preference.
Job Responsibilities (12 Month Work Contract)
High-throughput crystallization and co-crystallization of proteins for structural studies
Operate automation, liquid handling, imaging systems and crystallization instrumentation
Conduct macromolecular biophysical characterization
Experience with molecular biology, protein chemistry, purification and characterization
Experience using synchrotron remote data collection and data processing is a plus
Experience with other structural techniques including CryoEM is a plus
Interface directly with biochemists and structural biologists
A BS. or M.S. degree in biochemistry or related field
Proven experience with protein expression, purification and crystallization
Use of laboratory automation and digital record keeping
Ability to work in a team setting on multiple projects
Proven track record of efficient data management, experimental design, technical procedures and reports
