Responsible for developing the Supply Chain within designated categories to ensure quality and continuity of supply, and continuous improvement in productivity and cost. To manage and liaise between the various manufacturers/suppliers and the procurement community in support of Hologic’s production requirements. Key activities include; sourcing suppliersto manufacture components unique to Hologic, exercise independent judgment to address material issues, negotiate quarterly and annual buys as required, reviews standard and invoice purchase price variances and identifies standard pricing on an annual basis. This role is 30% transactional and 70% strategic.
Duties are listed in order of greatest importance. The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.Participate and support development and implementation of Strategic Commodity Plans in cooperation with Global Commodity Managers and Purchasing teams.
+ Partner with Corporate Commodity managers to standardize according to global tools and processes: SRM, RFI, RFQ,
+ Charters, Spend Analytics, K/T analysis models, etc.
+ Negotiate agreements for site specific suppliers; NDA, Supplier Agreement, Development agreements, Quality
+ Participate and support the implementation of the Operations Risk Management Program and develop the strategy
+ through an appropriate supplier network maintaining continuity of supply whilst reducing risk within the supply chain as a
+ Define and implement VIP pipeline to achieve 5% reduction goal.
+ Partner with Corporate Commodity managers to define and implement supplier dashboards and Balanced Scorecard
+ Identify and implement Best in Class processes.
+ Develop partnerships with R&D to understand product pipelines and ensure adequate suppliers are in place and
+ sourced, establish NRE and Production Pricing over launch and ramp.
+ Participate in NPI projects starting in phase 1 to make sure supplier segmentation and consolidation strategies are used
+ when possible.
+ Partner with internal supplier counterpart to ensure adherence and understanding of contract requirements.
+ Participate in and Manage Supplier Business Reviews.
+ Support and/or lead resolution and define preventative actions of quality issues
+ Lead complex sourcing analysis to include such factors as tax, duties, and global sourcing
+ Collaborate within and or lead large multi-site cross functional project teams.
+ Implement strategies and programs to achieve a minimum of 5 inventory turns and implement continuous improvement
+ Provide support and guidance on exceptions for transactional activities
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience
- 10 years of buying/commodity procurement experience within the Pharmaceutical or Medical device industry preferred but not required.
+ Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
+ Consensus building and cooperation throughout Matrix Org
+ Build collaborative relationships both internally and externally
+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
+ Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning, (i.e. – Oracle)
+ Accuracy, dependability and ability to work under tight requirements with minimal supervision
+ Active in American Purchasing Society and American Production and Inventory Control (APICS) a plus
+ CPIM, CPSM, CPM or PMP Preferred
