Sodexo is seeking a Executive Chef 3 for A I duPont in Wilminton, Delaware. This culinary professional will oversee all Food and systems operations in our hospitals and provide culinary excellence to the teams. They should be able to assist the food teams with creating a quality food program that is enjoyable by all patients, guest to the hospital and staff.

AI duPont Hospital for Children located is a 220 bed Childrens hopsital where quality for childrens care is primary. Known as one of the safest children’s hospitals in the country, with some of the best doctors, nurses and pediatric specialty care available. We also have Delaware’s only pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center.

Are you the experienced Executive Chef we’re seeking?

We are looking for candidates who will:

+ have oversight of day-to-day operations of all food operations

+ deliver high quality food service

+ achieve company and client financial targets and goals

+ develop and maintain client and customer relationships

+ develop strategic plans

+ create a positive environment

+ ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

+ implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for hospital: AYR, Cbord, Catering, Retail menus, LTO’S, STG, Mindful, garnishing, panning charts, production, puree standardization, FMS sheets, inventory control, HACCP, cleaning schedules, staffing plans, presentation and quality of food, kitchen cleanliness, safety, etc. Sodexo standards will be the benchmark;

+ implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering and patient services; and/or

+ create interpersonal relationships with clients in hospital.

+ Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits; and/or

+ C.E.C. (Certified Executive Chef) a plus.

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a large sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.

Key Duties

- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.

- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.

- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.

- Manages catering & retail areas.

- Customer & Client satisfaction.

- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.

- Manages food & physical safety programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience – 3 years

Basic Functional Experience – 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
