Join Black & Veatch in a Lead Civil/Structural Engineering role on transmission line projects in Wilmington, DE
As the Civil Lead Engineer,will support utility clients in the East, i.e. Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., New Jersey and Delaware region. Prepare engineering deliverables for design of transmission line projects including foundation, structure loading, design and analysis.Experience with PLS-CADD, LPile, MFAD, Sag10.Responsible for development and application of advanced engineering techniques and approaches toengineering problems. Will lead small team of engineers and p rovide technical guidance over the group. Perform as Liaison/Client contact on project needs and assist with BD activities as needed.
Functions as a Technical Specialistin a lead role
Designs a complete project of moderately complex scope within the practice area.
Experience with PLS-CADD, LPile, MFAD, Sag10.
Performs research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials
Preparesengineering calculations following standard methods and principles.
Manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
Reviews lower level engineering work or assignments.
Previous client interaction experience with solidrelationship-building abilities inpursuit of business opportunities. Proven strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to think quick at the job site and in front of customer personnel.Goodlistening skills, customer focused, priority setting, delegation, teamwork and team building skills.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from anaccredited degree program.
Minimum of 8 years related work experience with transmission line projects.
