Principle Risk Associate, Business Continuity, Resiliency, and Crisis Management
As a Principal Associate in Capital One's Retail Bank Risk Office, you will apply your analytical and delivery skills to our highest profile Risk Management projects. You will partner across Retail Bank to develop and support cutting-edge Risk solutions in a manner that supports innovation and protects our customers, shareholders, and associates. You will partner with peers and senior leaders, second and third lines of defense, as well as lines of business to drive organizational change in order to better manage the Company's risk in an open, collaborative environment where new ideas and solutions are both welcomed and rewarded.
Retail Bank Risk professionals are experienced, well-trained, and progressive individuals that operate within a highly collaborative team environment to deliver value-added risk services to our business partners. The Principal Associate candidate will be a highly-motivated Risk Management professional with excellent support, analytical, planning, collaboration, and communication skills. This role will support the Retail Bank line of business in developing and maintaining robust business continuity plans, strategies and recovery tasks.
This role supports the Retail Bank horizontal program governance for Business Continuity Management, Resiliency and Crisis Management. Specifically, this role will:
Provides guidance, expertise and support for the Business Continuity Management program
Partners to support Retail and Direct Tech with Resiliency efforts (application resiliency)
Supports all areas of strategic business continuity testing (workplace and workforce strategic testing, third party application and service provider testing, notification testing, TREx testing)
Assist with identification, tracking and mitigation of all aspects of BC program (Prime Issue management)
Partner with other 1st line LOB partners and 2nd line Risk Management partners
Execute specific ad hoc projects to support overall BC program goals and to meet the risk service model of the BC Standard and Policy
Supports the Crisis Management program for Retail Bank's response to specific crisis scenarios
Maintains Crisis Management communications tracker and communication templates
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 2 years of Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery or Crisis Management or Project Management experience
At least 3 year of experience working with internal business customers
At least 1 year of experience using Google Suite of products (Slides, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Forms, Sites)
3+ years of Risk Management or compensatory experience
CBCP Certification from DRI or other BC/DR Accredited program
3+ years operating in a cross functional capacity and/or managing complex initiatives
Ability to communicate clearly and to interact and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
