Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop new modules within the application including activating new downstream flows, business reports. Create user queries and reports in Oracle/Sybase for business users. Suggest best solutions as per business needs. Perform new tool implementation, migration, disaster recovery setup, continuous batch performance enhancement for the most critical payment movement application for JPMorgan Private Banking. Perform Unix scripting for improved archival strategy, Restart Automation, Jenkins Pipeline creation and deployment. Create Splunk queries for optimum monitoring system, setting up alerts through different alerting tool. Provide production support and maintenance. Perform application issue logging, JIRA creation and follow-up for different associated teams. Troubleshoot issues and support tickets, provide temporary workarounds and engaging appropriate technology and solution teams for resolutions. Create analytical reports for management about the progress and pain-points of the project and communication/escalation in case of roadblocks. Create Knowledge Base for the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field. Employer will accept 2 years of experience in application development and support in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree to meet the minimum education requirement.

Minimum experience required: 5 years of experience in application development and support, or related experience.

Skills required: Experience in DevOps model. Demonstrated knowledge of business processing. Demonstrated knowledge of trading lifecycle. Experience in process automation. Experience identifying and fixing the application and batch defects. Demonstrated knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting. Demonstrated knowledge of Java programming. Demonstrated knowledge of schedulers Autosys and Control-M. Demonstrated knowledge of incident, change and problem management. Demonstrated knowledge of JIRA and Jenkins. Demonstrated knowledge of cloud applications, Splunk and Netcool. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
