The CO-OP program provides highly motivated and qualified students an opportunity to gain first-hand experience, receive valuable on-the-job training, and heighten business knowledge. CO-OP Students will collaborate side by side with BTS employees in a variety of positions to complete challenging projects. Students will interact with all levels of management and senior leaders, and gain insight into business and technology in the insurance industry.
Feature support of Middleware technologies in a team setting including WebSphere Application Server/Liberty, Tomcat, Apache, Business Rules, Enterprise Service Bus, BPM, Filenet, and use and support of automation tools. Work will include documentation, troubleshooting, supporting new requests and incidents. Work may also include development of automation workflows and opportunities to learn .Net, Security, Database and Linux if interested Completes assigned projects in a timely manner. Participates in applicable team meetings, cross-team meet, and greets/job shadowing. Completes overall project presentation (Powerpoint) and presents to Leadership Group upon completion of internship.
+ Registered undergraduate student pursuing a major in an IT-related degree with a preferred overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
+ Willingness to learn new technologies and new ideas Familiarity with Java based applications and Unix/Linux is helpful but not required.
+ Participation in extracurricular and leadership activities.
+ Registered undergraduate student pursuing a major in a computer science or MIS-related degree with a preferred overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
+ Excellent oral and written communication.
+ Completion of junior year preferred, completion of sophomore year required.
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time
May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
