Product Support Operations (PSO) plays a critical role in the product lifecycle at Facebook, from ideation, to development, launch, growth, help, and support. The team partners closely with product, engineering, data science and global ops teams to improve the user experience and ensure that every product experience is safe, reliable, and supported at scale. Facebook is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join the team, who will focus on leading analytics efforts with cross-functional teams to improve the product experience by providing scalable data solutions, business intelligence, and analytics to PSO. Key responsibilities include developing metrics reporting, surfacing actionable insights from our data, scoping the quantitative impact of potential opportunities, and identifying opportunities to improve product quality and product data operations workforce on our platform. Strong communication and experiences required to work with cross-functional teams (e.g. Product, Eng., PM, etc.).

Required Skills:

1. Develop and manage end-to-end analytics solutions from requirements gathering, establish key metrics, build data pipeline, dashboard, and analyze data to drive the performance of our operations

2. Partner with analytics and data engineering teams to identify and close gaps in logging and data infrastructure

3. Plan, architect, and build data infrastructure, visualization, and self-serve analytical tools in order to help scale operations

4. Manage complex cross-functional data and metrics projects and programs in a matrix organization covering a range of areas

5. Influence what to build in the next roadmap, understand ecosystems, and long-term trends, identify new levers to move key metrics

Minimum Qualifications:

6. BA/BS degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field with experience in Analytics

7. 2+ years of hands-on experience using a scripting language (Python, PHP, Perl, etc.)

8. 5+ years experience in SQL or other querying language

9. 5+ years experience in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)

10. 5+ years experience with reporting systems, data pipeline architecture and data modeling

11. Experience communicating to a variety of audiences and stakeholders

12. Experience operating strategic projects with cross-functional partners

13. Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance

Preferred Qualifications:

14. Experience building complex data infrastructure, tooling, and automation

15. Experience developing data pipelines via SQL and Python-based ETL framework

16. Experience releasing code into production

17. Experience writing testable code

18. Knowledge of statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regressions)

19. Experience with large data sets and distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop)
