Summary Install electrical equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Support activities at commercial, industrial, and residential locations. QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). • Journeyman License in Delaware/Completion of 4 years Electrical Apprenticeship. • Must have 2 years' experience. • Must have valid driver's license and transportation. • Must be willing to travel to Tri-State projects. • Must be able to bend pipe. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits. • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems such as: switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, conveyor systems, lighting, and power supplies. • Testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system. • Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. • Directing or training workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. • Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. • Work and maintain a safe workplace while complying and adhering to safety polices and OSHA mandated requirements. • Prepare toolbox talks. • Complete jobs in a professional manner. • Cooperate with Foreman to support the success of the project. • Instruct and teach apprentices. • Maintain company owned property on a regular basis. • Utilize the National Electrical Code. • Support the merit shop philosophy.
