Job Description

Central Citi Quality Engineering (CQE) is the testing organization that is primarily responsible for driving End to End testing for complex, transformational and cross LOB programs across TTS Cash space. While, the QA teams within the development organization would focus on running standalone and near partner testing, the Central CQE team would focus on ensuring the functionalities and flows work fine from an End to End perspective i.e. taking a payment right from initiation and running it through its complete lifecycle through multiple applications. End to End Test Manager would be responsible for driving the End to End testing for various critical programs globally. This requires to play a leadership role by leading cross functional testing teams across the eco system in validating and implementing the complex strategic initiatives. The candidate would need to redefine the E2E testing strategy and build a roadmap for processes, tools and skill sets within the Central testing team for E2E testing.

One of the key deliverables for this role is also to implement End to End test automation for the testing programs as well as automate End to End regression for all BAU flows. Accordingly, it is imperative that a scalable, robust and state of the art automation framework is built to facilitate an efficient and swift end to end test automation adoption. This role entails ensuring the right automation framework is built with the correct architecture, design and tech stack that should facilitate the quick automation adoption across programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership in building and enhancing the test automation capability for validating a wide array of applications with disparate tech stacks and functionalities.

Roles and Responsibilities -

Test Management

- Accountable for running E2E testing phase for -

+ AMLAML is the program that is used by the bank to analyze customer data and detect suspicious transactions. This involves validating the application that performs data mining and generates a comprehensive AML compliance report.

+ Analytics – Business Intelligence and Analytics are solutions to analyze a wide variety of historical data and create meaningful insights that can be used by business and operations teams. This involves validating various reports and dashboards developed for internal and external clients using BI reporting tools like Microstrategy.

+ ISO Migration - ISO is an extremely visible multi year program where clearing and SWIFT across the globe are migrating from SWIFT MT to SWIFT MX message formats. This involves driving the E2E Testing for the phase wise migration globally.

- Drive iterative E2E testing methodology aligning with the agile adoption strategy.

- Understanding the BOW and plan for delivery, resourcing and budgeting accordingly.

- Demonstrate subject matter expertise by ensuring adequate testing coverage, highlighting issues and gaps with overall coverage.

- Work closely with the vendor resources to ensure they are cross trained across applications and have a complete understanding of the various interactions within the eco system for a given End to End flow.

- Coach and guide the vendor testing resources for their delivery, productivity and overall quality.

- Interface and collaborate with various stakeholders and senior management by providing status updates, proactively highlighting risks/issues and providing suggestions and mitigation plans to ensure project timelines are met without an impact to quality.

- Coordinate and build a collaborative working relationship with the QA teams within the dev organization who would be running standalone and near partner testing.

- Responsible for budgeting, project estimates, task management & balancing prioritization across multiple streams of testing.

Process Standardization

- Define and implement standardized testing processes and artefacts for E2E testing.

- Build synergy between the regional testing teams ensuring cross region training, discussions and exchange of best practices and ideas.

- Analyzes trends at an organizational level to improve processes; follows and analyzes industry trends.

- Develops and implements methods for cost, effort and milestones of IT Quality activities. Strives for continuous improvements and streamlining of processes.


- Drive E2E testing automation for the specific programs.

- Ensure both E2E Testing and E2E Regression is completely automated across the regions.

- Participate in designing the right architecture, model and tech stack for the automation framework.


+ Over 10 years IT Testing experience required

+ Excellent knowledge and wide ranging experience in implementing various software testing techniques and testing tools

+ In depth knowledge and expertise in Payments and Cash Management domain for corporate clients.

+ Good understanding of SWIT ISO20022 messaging structure and formats

+ Understanding of the payments landscape and working of various clearing schemes.

+ Technically adept and thorough understanding of various automation tools like Selenium, LeanFT, etc.

+ Requires communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence

+ Thorough understanding of end to end testing processes, Quality Center, JIRA and other testing related tools


+ Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
