Responsible for key performance indicators of defined assets including quality, safety, productivity, waste, cost and employee development. Drive efficiency improvement by applying process improvement tools including statistical process control, process mapping, control charts, LEAN manufacturing waste elimination studies and process capability studies. Responsible for identifying opportunities for making equipment and reliability improvements, developing applicable strategies and action plans, and following through on project implementation through the utilization of appropriate resources and tools. Define and develop process opportunities to reduce costs and to maximize productivity. Work with R&D and process engineering to maintain operational requirements in conjunction with material supplier capabilities. Define key critical parameters and develop plans to control and improve. Carry out life cycle cost analyses to determine most cost-effective strategy/option.
Develop, document, evaluate, and maintain equipment maintenance strategies. Develop, review, support, and improve preventative and predictive programs and practices. Work closely with Engineering and OEM’s to design reliability into new equipment. Work with R&D and project management to implement new raw material or products.
