The Firmwide Chief Data Office has a mandate set and actively supported at the board level to transform data management towards demonstrable shareholder value. The Firmwide CDO, in partnership with the LOB/CF CDOs, is required to develop metrics that effectively measure the risks governed by the Data Risk Management Standard.

The Firmwide Data Risk Metrics Team is responsible for publishing the data risk metrics to the CDO stakeholders, which enable the CDOs accountable for managing the data risk to view the data risk across data risk categories and data stores and to take action as appropriate when thresholds are breached. The central team coordinates with the data risk leads to identify & define the risk metrics. The central team also is responsible for the risk metrics dashboard that allows the stakeholders to view the details for the LOB/CFs in their governance scope.

The Data Risk Metrics Lead will be responsible for the quality & consistency of the metrics published in support of the Firmwide Data Governance initiatives. The individual will be part of the central Data Risk Metrics Program team responsible for coordinating with the Data Risk leads and our technology partners to design & publish risk metrics that adhere to the Firmwide Data Risk Management Policy & Standards.

Responsibilities

+ Design & develop the data risk metrics leveraging intelligence solution tools based on the business requirements

+ Perform data analysis to identify the appropriate data sets to perform the metric calculation

+ Perform metric calculations using Alteryx intelligent solution tool

+ Adhere to technology SDLC standards in developing solutions

+ Partner with metrics process owners to prepare solution design documents

+ Partner with teams responsible for UAT to design UAT test plan

+ Participate in design sessions to address stakeholder requirements for the dashboard visualization

+ Partner with data risk leads to verify the metrics and to provide highlights to be shared with CDO stakeholders

+ Participate in cross-LOB working group sessions where new KRI & KPI metrics get designed

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in other Data Management/ Data Governance and analytic practices

+ Ideally 5-10+ years of experience in data related projects preferably in financial services industry

+ Demonstrable, broad business knowledge across lines of business

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills – including ability to anticipate, access and determine solution

+ Strong relationship building skills, demonstrated consultative approach, and influencing skills

+ Ability to work effectively in a high pressure, agile work environment

+ Solid work ethic and strong sense of ownership of result

+ Strong teamwork orientation and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams
