Job Summary (Primary function)
The Manager, Sales Operations works closely with Field Sales Leadership, Commercial Operations, Finance, Payroll, Compliance, and HR to support the Field Sales team. The Manager is responsible for Field incentive compensation, reporting & analytics, alignments & targeting, training on data, analytics and tools, and other key field support activities, to support the growth of the brand as well as in preparation for future launches.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
Manage and execute all IC processes, including budgeting, goal setting, IC exceptions, payout calculations, reporting, and approvals.
Work with cross-functional team to optimize IC plan design and implement plan changes, and support sales contest design and implementation.
Manage territory alignment process for Field Sales, OCNE's, & MSL's, and quarterly Field Targeting processes.
Lead initial sales training on Ops data, systems, and tools for new hire sales specialists and support on-going training.
Act as the key contact point for sales specialists for all sales crediting and data-related questions.
Develop and update monthly Field performance updates and sales reports.
Create ad hoc analysis/reports to identify opportunities for Field execution.
Collaborate with BIS and broader Commercial Operations team to review data contracts, improve existing processes, and on new projects.
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
Bachelor's degree is required.
Minimum of 6 years experience in the life science, pharmaceutical or biotech industry preferred.
Experience with Incentive Compensation calculations and goal setting.
Experience in one of these areas: territory alignments, targeting, training on data/analytics, dashboard creation.
Proficient in MS Office with fluency in Excel functions.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
