Title: Senior Risk Manager, AML Risk Assessment Team
Capital One's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Risk Assessment team is responsible for assessing and defining the AML and Sanctions risk profile for the enterprise and individual business units through the enterprise Money Laundering Risk Assessment (MLRA), targeted assessments, and other risk assessments designed to identify risks related to the AML program. These assessments enable the Chief AML Compliance Officer and senior management to prioritize risks, identify and review areas that warrant greater scrutiny and control, and recommend actions on top risks as well as potential emerging risks that have regulatory and compliance implications.
The Sr. Risk Manager has the primary responsibility for all aspects of the MLRA, including methodology development and maintenance, building and maintaining relationships with data partners, conducting assessments in consultation with subject matter experts (SMEs), recordkeeping of completed assessments and supporting information, and assuring that the appropriate levels of management are informed of the results.
In addition to management and delivery of the MLRA, the Risk Assessment Team is responsible for producing additional risk assessments such as the AML Business Unit Risk Control Self Assessment (RCSA) and targeted assessments on areas identified as a result of conducting risk assessments .

Possesses risk management experience and knowledge of processes, risks, requirements, controls and testing

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- At least 3 years of experience in risk management, or at least 3 years of experience in compliance within financial services
- 5 years of experience in Anti- Money Laundering (AML), or 5 years of experience in risk management/compliance within financial services
- CRCM, or ACAMS, or CIPP certifications
- Bachelor's Degree
