Tech College Overview
We are creating something unique and unprecedented: a re-imagined learning hub for technology training called Tech College. This is a bold investment in developing our associates and leaders, recruiting top talent, and continuing to differentiate ourselves in the market. Tech College aims to transform our approach to enabling our associates with the technical and leadership skills they need to be successful in current and future roles. We constantly strive to deliver impactful and engaging learning experiences through the most cutting-edge methods to directly enable the success of our people and our business.
You're a digital storyteller. Maybe you've never called yourself that, but it's what you do: you thrive on finding ways to describe real human needs in an engaging way - and you LOVE creating solutions that actually help. You're a natural storyteller and information architect. You've got experience doing research to see how real people react to what you created. You enjoy applying your skills to a broad content set to ensure that we're speaking with one voice, and that voice reflects our Tech College brand. You're a genuinely nice person with humility and integrity, and the prospect of "bringing humanity and clarity to every conversation we design" has you intrigued.
We're the Co.Create team. Our team creates communication, engagement and design supporting Tech College and Enterprise Learning and Development teams. We focus on driving a culture of Learning at Capital One and enabling associates to enhance, upskill, reskill their technical knowledge across 7 key disciplines. We're looking for a content strategist to help drive a Culture of Learning within Tech and shape the conversations we have with Tech Associates. You'll spend some time helping create copy for our Tech College brand and use various mediums to deliver the Tech College story.
As a Content Strategist, you will work with discipline, program teams, as well as with line of business partners to help drive engagement and awareness of Tech College offerings and products. This consists of weekly Slack engagement posts, weekly Pulse articles, monthly newsletters, updated copy to our website and other communications and marketing support as priority initiatives dictate.
We're looking for candidates with:
Strong writing and story-telling skills with sound editorial judgment
The ability to distill complex content into clear, concise and engaging communications.
Great time management and organizational skills, with an ability to consistently execute multiple and sometimes competing activities.
Someone who enjoys working on a fun and creative team and loves brainstorming on new ways to engage learners.
Working closely with program leadership to build out and manage thoughtful, creative technology and change management communications and content
Collaborating with LOB workstreams across the enterprise to develop new content and write engaging and compelling content for program publications, Program Management Executive's blog, and other communications channels
Communicating about enterprise technology products and solutions
Experience writing copy for different types of media: blogs, podcasts, Slack, email, websites, videos, etc.
Building relationships with horizontal technology partners and communicators
Build and execute a communications plan and content calendar
Work effectively in cross-functional teams to advance the program's communications strategy and hit key program metrics
Build an engaged Tech Learning community
Manage the Tech College Slack channels
Update graphics and copy biweekly on the Tech College website
Develop and coordinate pitches to place positive and informative enterprise-wide content on Pulse
Craft monthly newsletters
