Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) is part of the JPMorgan Chase Commercial Bank providing lending servicing support to multiple business units across the firm and around the world. The Operation provides loan documentation; closing and funding; payment and fee processing; syndication loan trade processing; credit administration; collateral perfection and management, customer service and reporting; and construction management.
The Loan Origination Associate supports the largest and most sophisticated corporate loan transactions in the market. They primarily provide operational support to Debt Capital Markets on Term Loan B/institutional debt. The Loan Origination Associate is responsible for closing and funding new deals, amendments and restructurings on large syndicated loans where JPM is the lead arranger/administrative agent. The Loan Origination Associate works with the business, middle office, legal counsel, among others, to ensure the loan system is set up and clients are funded timely.
+ Review credit agreements and other syndicated loan documents for operational feasibility and system enrichment
+ Data entry to record loan terms, syndicate & borrower information, etc. on the Loan IQ application
+ Initiate initial funding between investors and borrowers
+ Provide booking recommendations and solutions to business partners
+ Ability to support multiple loan transactions concurrently
+ Reconcile exceptions and ensure timely resolution
+ Undergraduate degree is strongly preferred but related job and industry experience can be accepted as a substitute (3+ years)
+ Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
+ Must have experience reading and interpreting syndicated loan documentation or related experience supporting syndicated loans and using LoanIQ
+ Must be highly organized with ability to manage a variety of tasks with a strong attention to detail
+ Ability to work independently within a team environment
+ Excellent oral and written communications skills and strong interpersonal/client servicing skills
+ Strong analytical, problem solving and judgment skills
+ Flexible working schedule with some overtime required
