The Strategic Analytics Vice President position on the Auto Risk Collections Strategy Team will be responsible to develop thoughtful analytics and recommendations concerning strategy development, implementation, controls, and performance monitoring. The candidate will be responsible to lead complex analytic projects, including designing and developing segmentation strategies for Auto open collections. The individual will be required to develop measurable tests to determine the effectiveness of new ideas. The candidate will work across business areas such as Finance, Legal, Operations, and IT to offer strategic direction on collection risk strategies. The role requires a candidate with a good balance between business acumen and strong analytical skills to manage collection risk dynamics.

Responsibilities The Strategic Analytics Vice President position on the Auto Risk Collections Strategy Team will be responsible to develop thoughtful analytics and recommendations concerning strategy development, implementation, controls, and performance monitoring. The candidate will be responsible to lead complex analytic projects, including designing and developing segmentation strategies for Auto open collections. The individual will be required to develop measurable tests to determine the effectiveness of new ideas. The candidate will work across business areas such as Finance, Legal, Operations, and IT to offer strategic direction on collection risk strategies. The role requires a candidate with a good balance between business acumen and strong analytical skills to manage collection risk dynamics.

+ Develop and lead auto collection and repossession strategies

+ Work independently to successfully complete end to end processes related to analytical tasks including: problem identification, defining objectives, data discovery, synthesis and analysis of large & complex data points, formulating concise conclusions with actionable recommendations, and creating presentations to pitch findings and/or strategies

+ Utilize champion/challenger framework to measure the effectiveness around various strategies for collections

+ Monitor delinquencies and loss trends to ensure stable and consistent portfolio performance

+ Identify key risk drivers. Analytically segment portfolio along these factors. Assess concentrations, exposures and exception levels

+ Actively participate and present in large forums, clearly and effectively communicating Risk concerns and observations

+ Work with Finance and Risk partners to offer guidance on loss forecasting

+ Leverage central modeling teams to build new scorecard and validate existing scoring models as it pertains to use in collections strategies

+ Work with Operations, IT, Legal, and Compliance partners to ensure that policy and strategy changes get implemented in a smooth and timely fashion

Qualifications

+ MS degree and 5 years Risk Management or other quantitative experience preferred

+ Otherwise, BS degree and minimum 7+ years of relevant risk management or other quantitative experience required, preferably in financial services

+ Collection strategy or credit risk experience required

+ Auto Finance experience preferred

+ Advanced understanding of SQL, SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, or other decision tree software

+ Comfortable working with ambiguity and finding creative ways to enhance analytic capabilities while having a broad view of the business needs

+ Strong analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data, including interpretation of model results and its impact in both operational and financial areas

+ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects across cross-functional groups

+ Strong communication and presentation skills required

+ Experience delivering recommendations to management
