The Elevator Pitch: Why will you enjoy this new opportunity??
In this role, you will be responsible for the collection, analysis, reporting and presentation of data to provide actionable insights that will help drive rapid growth of CloudHealth by VMware’s Partner business. You will be a critical influencer to shape key decision making across Reseller, Systems Integrator, Service Provider, Cloud, and Technology Partner businesses. This is a unique opportunity to build and analyze data in new ways to keep pace with the quickly evolving Partner businesses, while deepening technical skills, and developing familiarity with a fast-growing SaaS business.
What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for???
You will be hands on listening to our leadership, team, and customers to redesign processes, implement better and more actionable reports, collaborate across the company to ensure learn from and share best practices. You will work with our execs to fine-tune requirements for reporting and translate raw data from our systems into actionable insights for leadership to drive our business forward. The problems we encounter and resolve for our accounts are unique and complex. This takes critical thinking, root cause analysis, and issue dissection with the customer and our team to produce the best solution. Lastly, you will maintain our systems, execute our processes, and facilitate consistent delivery of our services to partners. Ultimately, you will need to have the ability to clearly see the right goals, make strategies from existing and new ideas, deliver the right execution plan and manage to the desired results.
Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing???
Immediately and in an ongoing manner you will:
+ Identify opportunities for operational change and development that drive efficiencies and value by increasing sale productivity, ease of doing business and self-serve autonomy through our Distributor & Global Partners.
+ Develop Partner Operations KPIs & Metrics along with the tracking and reporting mechanisms necessary to measure and communicate. Facilitate Distribution channel sales reporting to Field teams to ensure the business has information at their disposal to make decisions.
+ Perform financial analysis, forecasts, costs vs. benefits analysis, business controls, budgeting, measurement and reporting, pricing analysis, vendor contract review, etc.
+ Be a trusted adviser for internal VMware leadership as it relates to operational readiness & execution methodologies to drive the business and relationships between VMware and our Global Partners.
Success in the role will require strong interpersonal skills to be effective across the global / local value chain as well as a strong ability to work across boundaries in a matrix organization. The ideal applicant possesses a unique blend of both strategic, tactical and transitional thinking, business insight, channel and distribution experience, operational management, financial acumen, along with the ability to influence and collaborate within a matrixed organization.
What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis???
+ Drive forecasting and monitoring of current business results
+ Operational SaaS experience
+ Creating weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting as required, including Quarterly Business Review presentations
+ Creating and maintaining SFDC, Einstein and Tableau dashboards to measure Leading Indicators across pipeline activities, program & incentives, enablement, and bookings.
+ Collaborating with peers across the business to improve the overall effectiveness of our go-to-market activities
+ Implementation and co-ordination of Half/Annual plans
+ Be responsible for the development and implementation of new processes, reporting and procedures for effective and efficient team operations.
+ Drive strategy and implementation of best practices
+ Contribute to the Business Planning Process
