Summary:

The GPS (Global Product & SWE) recruiting function at Facebook supports technical hiring across all of our consumer apps and products within the Facebook company (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Workplace, Portal, Oculus & Novi) as well as our Ads, Growth, Responsible Innovation, Privacy and Emerging Product teams. Within this function, lies Talent Discovery – an inclusive organization that is driven, motivated and inspired by building the next generation of recruiting professionals that support our North America software engineering pipelines. Our vision is to be one team, growing together, ruthlessly prioritizing innovation, and relentlessly pursuing unparalleled candidate experiences.As a Recruiting Manager for Talent Discovery, you will provide expert advice on effective training and development strategies to a team of People Leaders. You will also be responsible for driving innovative and creative lead-generation strategies across a broad array of engineering talent profiles through top of the funnel activities focused on mapping, identifying, engaging and nurturing. This individual will know how to manage, mentor, and guide an organization while also working closely with various recruiting partners to drive world-class lead generation practices and strategies at the top of the recruiting funnel.

Required Skills:

1. Build and improve processes and efficiencies, mentor other team members, and champion innovative lead generation ideas across the organization

2. Develop and implement new and scalable lead generation practices, systems and processes and be a role model for high-quality execution

3. Foster an environment of knowledge sharing and learning where the status quo is challenged and ideas for improvement are championed and explored

4. Provide innovative, scalable solutions to drive our NORAM SWE top of funnel objectives

5. Provide expert advice on effective lead-generation strategies to a team of leaders by driving creative talent-finding and nurturing strategies

6. Mentor and guide leaders in identifying non-traditional and diverse talent, using a diverse array of platforms with a focus on sourcing passive candidates

7. Design customized and executable lead generation strategies while building relationships with the wider North American SWE recruiting team

8. Lead and facilitate key initiatives and projects with the team and cross-functional partners

9. Provide mentorship, guidance and career development to Sourcing Managers and Leads

10. Build strong cross-functional relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders internally and other leaders throughout Facebook recruiting

11. Utilize data to influence business decisions and recruiting strategies

12. Understand HR-related regulations and compliance procedures across North America, EMEA and APAC

Minimum Qualifications:

13. 12+ years of recruiting and/or sourcing experience

14. 8+ years experience managing teams, including managing people leaders

15. Experience collaborating with key business leaders and cross-functional partners

16. Experience providing a consultative sourcing approach with internal partners and stakeholders

17. Experience translating data and analysis into strategic recruitment processes and recommendations

Preferred Qualifications:

18. A deep understanding of sourcing technology, market trends, and talent strategy

19. Sophisticated people management skills with experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members of varying experience levels

20. Experience managing, building and scaling large technical recruiting teams

21. Experience leading teams that are focused on developing high touch points of engagement with passive candidates and key stakeholders

22. Strong track record of success in delivering innovative lead generation strategies that deliver top talent at scale

23. Proven track record of having successfully managed remote or distributed teams

24. Strong technical aptitude in managing data as well as experience offering compelling insights through metrics such as pipeline data, pass through rates, hiring forecasts, and capacity

25. Strong executive presence, combined with excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills

26. Experience working in organizations that have undergone significant growth, change and/or expansion
