Work within the Technical Operations Organization (Global Pharma Development) to support the development of new drug products as well as improvement of existing Pharmaceutical Product analysis and manufacturing processes. Principally conduct analytical chemical and physical experimental analysis to characterize new drug substances and drug products in the development of drug product formulations to support pre-clinical and clinical studies. Design and execute chemical experimental studies to characterize new drug substances, related compounds, and drug products. Conduct literature research of chemical properties, processes, and private and public information in support of study planning. Design, plan, and execute experimental studies and record, analyze, and document experimental outcomes. Interpret material chemical and physical characterization results and report/document conclusions properly as related to drug product development. Collaborate with project leads (analytical, synthetic chemistry, and formulation) to align and focus efficient execution of above duties with project objectives and overall development plans. Understand analytical responsibilities, stages in development, development processes, and respective goals/challenges. Track the project timeline to align with program objectives. Present scientific data and propose experimental plan in team meetings. Collaborate with Analytical Development group to grow technical expertise, expand/optimize department capabilities, and provide chemical experimental studies backup support for alternate programs. Understand group needs and goals and track group timelines to align with objectives. Present scientific data in group meetings. Write technical reports detailing experimental data and conclusions. Present scientific data in scientific papers and presentations. Write regulatory documents for regulatory submission. Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external partners. Participate in ongoing compliance training, continuing education, and monitoring laboratory maintenance and supplies.
