Job Description


Duties: Work on Cloud and Containers, writing software and operationalizing it for deployment to Cloud services. Use Docker, ECS and Kubernetes to work on these container ecosystems. Build high quality, scalable, resilient and architecturally sound systems that are aligned with our business needs. Responsible for working with distributed Systems (Spark and Hadoop), modern Programming languages (Scala and Python), multi-threading, distributed filesystems, server and kernel architectures, data structures and algorithms. Write software in multiple languages, ranging from Scala to Python and Shell Script. Work on object-oriented coding such as Java. Apply application security protocols to design applications to meet stringent corporate cyber security policies.


Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field plus 2 years of experience in application development, or related experience OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field plus 5 years of experience in application development, or related experience.

Skills Required: Experience with Distributed Systems. Enterprise Architecture experience. Cloud Computing experience. Experience with Spark and Scala. Enterprise Messaging/Kafka experience. Information Security experience. Experience with Algorithms and Data Structures. Concurrent Programming experience. Java and Spring experience. Python Scripting experience.
