Job Summary (Primary function):
This position is responsible for supporting various Development Alliances and will lead various R&D Finance Process Improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities):
Create and maintain detailed financial packages to support Incyte's invoices to its Collaboration partners
Create and maintain Governance Committee Powerpoint presentations
Thorough understanding of Alliance contracts and ability to synthesize contractual language into clear and concise outputs
Serve as lead Finance Business Partner for early Stage Alliances
Serve as lead Finance Business Partner for Alliance time-tracking across all of R&D
Build and maintain various tools and databases that will help improve the analytical capabilities of the broader R&D Finance group
Create high-quality financial reports for Development Programs and Departments
Ability to perform financial analytics including (but not limited to) NPV, IRR, ROI, etc.
Work with Alliance Finance lead to provide high quality financial support for Incyte's Development Alliances
Build and maintain robust models and databases to help analyze and synthesize vast amounts of financial data
Develop various templates and trackers for Alliance Milestones, Royalties, etc.
Manage the Alliance FTE Database and tracking of time related to Development Alliances across all of R&D
Lead various financial analyses related to Development Alliances
Prepare accurate and meaningful Alliance reporting as requested
Other Ad Hoc R&D Finance requests as needed
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency):
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Scientific related discipline
7+ years of work experience, preferably in an Finance or Operational roles with a demonstrated ability to improve processes
Previous Pharma/Life Science/Biotech experience preferred but not required
Expert level technical skills including use of pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, databases, etc.
Experience with reporting applications such as Tableau, SalesForce, PowerBI, etc.
Experience with various Financial systems including SAP and Hyperion Essbase is preferred but not required
Positive work ethic, collaboration and organizational skills with a high attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively
