To provide for the continuity and operational effectiveness of health records by managing the maintenance accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of the system.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
Entry of data into CREDIT, the electronic medical record for Translational Research. Scanning of data into the appropriate folders in CREDIT to facilitate regulatory review of medical records.
Scanning of radiographs into computer repository.
Shredding of patient documents.
Demonstrates the highest level of confidentiality.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience with data entry and document scanning.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work independently
Ability to effectively communicate
Ability to work well with others on all levels, displaying diplomacy and tact.
Ability to utilize computer applications on various platforms.
Ability to plan and organize work assignments.
Intermittent sitting, standing and walking, light lifting and moving, ability to answer phones and use keyboard.
