Translational Sciences at Incyte has been established to bridge the research findings at the Discovery and Development levels within each of our clinical programs. In collaboration with academic, clinical and industry scientists, this group develops knowledge around each of our existing programs to enable clinical evaluation of target modulation, biological changes that correlate with target modulation, as well as biomarkers or patient characteristics that could be utilized to predict response to therapy. The results are used to enrich and refine the Development program strategy as well as inform and guide future Discovery efforts.
Senior/Principal Investigator Translational Bioinformatics
The Bioinformatics group within the Translational Sciences department at Incyte is seeking an individual with >4 years of post-graduate training, expertise in the fields of immune-oncology or immunology along with experience in using computational approaches to analyze and visualize genomic data sets.
Incyte is focused on developing therapies for cancer and inflammatory diseases, and the individual will lead translational approaches that enable human clinical studies. We are looking for a highly motivated scientist to work in a collaborative environment focused on pushing the boundaries of science in the context of making new medicines. The position is located in Wilmington DE, with easy access to major east coast cities.
Utilize computational biology methods to integrate, analyze and visualize results with data sets obtained from a variety of translational platforms
Analyze and interpret genome-scale NGS data sets
Identify and evaluate markers for clinical response
Provide technical expertise within highly collaborative environment
Present results of analysis to multidisciplinary audiences within the organization
Ph.D. with experience in immune-oncology or immunology preferred
Demonstrated experience in analyzing and visualizing NGS data sets
Expertise in using R or MATLAB for data visualization
Ability to work effectively in a highly-collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
Strong analytical skills
A high level of emotional intelligence and willing to work closely and collaboratively with other functional groups internal and external to the company
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
