The Engineering Manager provides technical and program leadership for a staff of engineering professionals with a focus on design, development, and improving high speed automated manufacturing lines. Leader of productivity programs to ensure site cost savings commitments are met. Collaborates closely with Operations and Maintenance to provide tactical support as needed and collaborates with R&D on strategic efforts / New Product Development.
+ Accountable for the engineering design and performance capabilities of installed high-speed production lines and equipment.
+ Accountable for collaboration with Operations to ensure uninterrupted Supply Chain.
+ Accountable for collaboration with R&D to ensure successful execution of New Product introductions and upgrades.
+ Accountable for planning, development, and submittal of comprehensive plans and budgets for execution of engineering solutions.
+ Accountable for engineering talent acquisition, management, and development.
+ Actively develop technical resources to achieve increased effectiveness and efficiency for a win-win perspective.
+ Direct technical resources toward compliance and adherence of plant objectives and goals necessary to meet overall business goals.
Required Education, Skills and Experience
+ BS degree in Engineering.
+ 10 or more years of experience in engineering management in a high speed manufacturing operation, preferably in the consumer products arena.
+ Ability to lead/direct large teams to accomplish specific project goals within tight budget and time constraints.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to develop working relationships on all levels and thrive in a team environment.
Desirable Education, Skills and Experience
+ Experience with high-speed converting and consumer goods operations is a plus.
+ Experience with LEAN / Six Sigma manufacturing tools and techniques.
+ Experience in a cGMP compliant manufacturing environment.
+ Experience in machinery / equipment design, fabrication, relocation, and start-ups.
