Serves as the main point of contact for Workday business process design. Ensures all business processes are standardized across all regions in addition to meeting Sarbanes-Oxley audit requirements. Maintains and trouble-shoots business processes to support the global HR team.
Recommends plans and implements improvements, enhancements, and new applications to the systems. Leverages business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for business process improvement within the Workday system. Proactively partners with end-users when identifying opportunities for improvement. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of changes and responsible for documenting processes and results. Maintains HRIS system tables through performance of data updates/changes, daily processing of new hire and other change files, employee and organization changes/corrections and employee reclassification information updates.
Drives operational excellence in the HR Solutions Center arena by supporting a streamlined service delivery approach. Supports the Microsoft SharePoint HR Portal for North America and participates in projects related to globalization of the North America Solutions Center model. Recommends and evaluates enhancements to the current model and participates in all efforts to update related systems including ticketing systems, electronic document management systems and any other related system. Provides training to the regional HR Solutions Centers. Documents and communicates best practices.
Supports the ServiceNow model for the Workday system. Acts as a key project member in any expansion or rollout of the ServiceNow system for HR.
Manages Workday HCM data activities include supervisory orgs, locations and other setup data values. Supports reorganizations. Provides transactional support including hire date corrections, termination date corrections and more. Corrects, re-routes and rescinds business processes as needed.
Provides production support for HRIS including, but not limited to, researching and resolving HRIS issues, unexpected results or process flaws; performs scheduled activities such as system updates and audits; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Develops new and maintains existing manuals, tables, security access and documentation. Assists with the design, development and communication of new policies and procedures related to HR systems and data.
Drives operational excellence in the HR Operations function by identifying and developing alternative methods for optimizing and streamlining related processes and procedures. Focus on increased efficiencies and improvement of HR related processes.
Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. Serves as a key liaison with third parties, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Serves as a ‘super user’ of HR systems and tools in order to identify best practices, assesses functionality and system requirements, and recommends process improvements as applicable. Ensures data integrity for all HR processes and programs.
Develops and maintains user procedures, job aids, guidelines and documentation related to Workday and all other HR systems. Trains clients on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.
Supports and/or leads special projects as directed. Conducts ad hoc analyses as applicable. Provides surge support for critical HR initiatives as needed.
Acts as a backup to other areas of the HR team including, but not limited to:
Writes, maintains and supports various reports and queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Provides employee data for analysis and decision making, statistical data analysis and other reporting as required. Develops new standards and ad-hoc reports for customer needs. Maintains and promotes data integrity through audit processes and resolution of data discrepancies.
Supports Workday data quality audits and initiatives.
Assists in requirements gathering, design, testing and implementation of HRIS solutions. Uses project management skills to manage key HR system projects/implementations/updates and upgrades.
+ Education-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
+ Experience-2-7 years of experience supporting and administering information systems.
+ Experience in a divestiture and active M&A business environment preferred.
+ International, global experience preferred.
+ Knowledge-Strong understanding of HR processes and data including understanding of HR system database design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with database tools.
+ Excellent computer skills, e.g. MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc. Experience with SAP HCM module preferred.
+ Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects.
