Client Experience Delivery : client-facing teams orchestrating all aspects of service delivery, and onboarding teams bringing new business onto our platform.

Wealth : differentiated capability for both Whole Portfolio and Wealth clients & products, respectively.

Client Experience Operations: core client operations teams driving reporting, billing, and onboarding due diligence across the globe.

Client Experience Transformation: accelerating progress towards our CX mission via research and competitive insights, analytics, marketing, business and change management.

Team Overview

The Client Invoicing team is responsible accountable for all aspects of our client’s deliverables that support the ongoing client experience relating to the provision of client invoicing solutions and superior client service. The team covers the full invoicing lifecycle – from onboarding (implementation and maintenance), through to the creation and distribution of an invoice, and subsequent management and collection of debt. Client Invoicing forms a critical servicing function within the Client Experience Operations organization which also includes Client Reporting, Portfolio Data Delivery & Document Governance, and Due Diligence Operations.


+ Support clients through the Onboarding and change lifecycle, working closely with Contracting, operational and client service teams to deliver mutually agreeable billing contract provisions that are operational compliant and appropriately risk controlled.

+ Manage the execution of day-to-day operations and meet targets for team deliverables, proactively planning and managing priorities for BAU and projects, ensuring optimal use of resource, and improving process efficiency.

+ Lead/support projects and initiatives to improve our operating model, collaborating with the internal business and technology partners.

+ Act as a deep subject matter expert, lead discussions, provide solutions that drive better outcomes, operational excellence, and enhanced client experience.

+ Review and ensure quality of team’s deliverables, within the invoicing workflow. Proactively investigate, identify and remediate issues/errors as required.

+ Develop and maintain strong, productive, and effective relationships with key stakeholders and partners in the Client Business, Onboarding Implementation, Contracting, Client Experience Management, and Finance to deliver a One-BlackRock approach.

+ Responsible for process and controls ensuring compliance with policy and procedures, SOX, CASS and other regulatory requirements.

+ Participation in the development and implementation of continuous improvement of the control environment, policies and procedures, looking for ways to innovate and drive the business forward, delivering a superior client experience.

+ Stay informed of ongoing invoicing developments to ensure that the latest system functionality and requirements are considered during invoicing solution discussions.

+ Create and maintain robust standard operating policies (SOPs), procedures and guidelines to meet corporate risk and control standards and principles.

+ Successfully deliver against both individual and team objectives.


+ Bachelor’s degree with preference to MIS, Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.

+ Operational excellence with a preference of 3+ years in an operational/accounting role in investments or finance (knowledge in performance and management fees is a plus).

+ Proven track record of strong performance with increasing levels of scope and responsibility.

+ Proven experience with process improvement and risk management.

+ Strong organizational, planning, analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

+ Proven ability to build strong partnerships, deliver and get results.

+ Supportive teammate with excellent communication skills with the ability to work in collaboration, building strong rapport with peers and stakeholders.

+ Ability to think creatively, navigate sophisticated internal processes and functions, and be able to offer practical solutions that will be mutually beneficial to both the client and BlackRock.

+ High standards for quality, driving efficiency and accuracy in their work product.

+ Desire to work in a high-energy / impact environment with a dedicated commitment to excellence.

+ Strong organizational, planning, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

+ Professional, positive demeanor with a strong work ethic and integrity.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to influence internal and external collaborators and articulate sophisticated concepts clearly to varied audiences.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, intermediate to advanced level data analytic skills such as SQL and Excel, a strong interest in and capability for learning new applications and technical skills.

+ Fluent in Spanish is a strong preference
