Job Summary(Primary function) The Director of Transfer Pricing and Global Tax Strategy will lead the development and execution of Incyte's transfer pricing policies and global tax planning initiatives.The position will provide hands on technical expertise in leading the operational transfer pricing functions of all cross-border activities as well as working in a matrixed organization managing global planning projects.This includes implementing a comprehensive tax planning strategy to optimize Incyte's cash tax and effective tax rates, transfer pricing posture and controversy defense.This position will report directly to the Global Head of Tax. Essential Functions of the Job(Key responsibilities) *Maintain global transfer pricing policies and implement appropriate processes for intercompany pricing and documentation *Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive tax planning strategy for Incyte to optimize its global cash tax and effective tax rates while managing tax and transfer pricing risks *Maintain a deep understanding of Incyte's corporate organizational chart, transaction flows, risks, assets, and functions, and advise on the respective intercompany transactions and agreements *Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional business partners across Finance, Business Development, Legal, Technical Operations, and Human Resources to ensure proactive tax involvement in all business/operational changes *Review proposed transactions in their infancy (including M&A) and advise or propose changes to achieve optimal tax and transfer pricing results *Ability to model and illustrate the tax impacts of proposed legislation, competing structuring and/or deal alternatives *Coordinate with and assist tax reporting and compliance leads to ensure proper reporting of transactions that occur throughout the year *Manage tax projects through cross-functional implementation *Provide consultation and support as needed on the US international aspects of the compliance and US GAAP provision process *Collaborate and partner closely across the global finance team including accounting, legal, treasury and FP&A Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency) *BS/BA in accounting required; CPA and/or Master's Degree in Taxation preferred *10-15 years of progressively responsible experience with large multi-national companies or BIG 4 experience *Extensive knowledge of global transfer pricing and US tax rules, particularly in the international area (FDII, GILTI, FTCs, Subpart F etc...) *Strong aptitude for working with complex data and strong analytical skills required *Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to roll-up sleeves and being a hands-on problem solver *Strong work ethic and proven ability to manage multiple projects across functions *Executive presence with excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey tax concepts to executive stakeholders *Must be able to work with all levels of management, staff and manage external advisors etc... *Highly motivated, organized self-starter who is flexible in team environment *Working knowledge of ASC 740 and implications with various planning projects and transfer pricing matters Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this job.
