Job Description

Position summary:

The Order Processing and Logistics Coordinator provides a wide range of services for various departments within the company by reviewing and processing incoming product orders. They prepare production work orders, shipping documents, and other documentation as required. The Order Processing Specialist and Logistics Coordinator must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment while multitasking to provide administrative support and ensure all information is kept up to date and accurate.


  • Collaborate with the production team on coordinating sales orders as necessary
  • Verify customer delivery address and product information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary
  • Review Sales Orders for completeness according to established procedures and forwards incomplete Sales Orders for further processing
  • Assign Sales Orders to appropriate factory for production
  • Notify team member when order is released into production
  • Produce and manage work orders, change orders, order confirmations and shipping documentation
  • Enter production order dates on new orders to update the system
  • Obtains additional information from other information sources as necessary
  • Release orders into production
  • Report shipped production orders when Sales Orders leave the facilities
  • Prepare freight quotes
  • Work with production to determine the amount of trailer space needed to ship products
  • Communicate with freight companies
  • Addressing and resolving outgoing shipping issues
  • Reconciling data inconsistencies
  • Assuring information is accurate
  • Acts as a resource for other departments regarding order processing and shipping questions
  • Provides logistics and customer service support to team members when required
  • Other duties as assigned
