The Mortgage Loan Officer will market and originate reverse mortgage loans, many of which involve servicing homeowners, and participating in related business development activities. The incumbent will solicit reverse mortgages through contacts with WSFS Bank's Retail and Branch Associates, and other external contacts such as Realtors and Business Organizations and seek opportunities to present the Reverse Mortgage programs to individuals as well as professional organizations. The Reverse Mortgage Loan Officer will provide service to customers and prospective customers seeking loans by interviewing applicants to acquire information and determine if the loan is suitable; obtain and analyze pertinent financial and property data and compile specific loan scenarios; explain the costs, pay-out options and features of all products; assist in schedule counseling appointments; obtain necessary signatures on all documents and obtain necessary documents from borrowers; and ensure the customer understands the loan process from application through closing. The incumbent will also follow current loans to ensure conformity with terms and meeting customer expectations, as well as attend all loan closings when schedule permits. The incumbent will need to stay informed of trends and developments in the local real estate market, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government-insured reverse mortgages.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have at least 3 years of sales and customer service experience.
  • Must be proficient with all Reverse Mortgage software programs provided by Wholesale partners.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to assigned branch locations, customer's homes and business to perform presentations when requested.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal to no supervision.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and excellent listening and presentation skills.
  • Must possess superior problem-solving abilities.
