Chemours is seeking a Senior Capital Project Manager to join our growing Enterprise Capital and Engineering Technology team! This position will report directly to the Senior Director, Enterprise Capital and Engineering Technology at our Wilmington, DE location.

You will be responsible for leading a team of project managers, construction managers, and contractors who plan and successfully execute all aspects of major capital projects for each of the three Chemours businesses, on time and within budget. Total capital expenditures anticipated in the range of $450 million and progressively increasing. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of business acumen and have the confidence to challenge the status quo, bringing refreshing simplicity to capital process.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

+ Develop and implement strategic plans for enterprise-led projects.

+ Lead a team of Project Managers and Construction Managers throughout the capital project lifecycle, ensuring planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and delivery.

+ Lead and drive change initiatives within the portfolio, collaborating at the portfolio level with internal stakeholders to optimize project scope and value proposition.

+ Monitor project progress, address potential risks, and take corrective action to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery at the enterprise level.

+ Provide regular status reports to senior business leadership on portfolio and enterprise-level capital project status, achievements, and challenges.

+ Ensure overall compliance with legal, safety, and environmental regulations.

+ Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, external partners, and vendors at both portfolio and enterprise levels.

+ Explore and implement innovative project execution approaches, leveraging new technologies and best practices for enhanced efficiency at the enterprise level.

+ Accountability for cost and schedule adherence, participating in cost control and scheduling reviews at the enterprise level.

+ Incorporate Chemours Subject Matter Experts into projects, collaborating across various functional areas at both portfolio and enterprise levels.

+ Ethically comply with all Chemours financial reporting requirements at the enterprise level.

+ Drive full integration of the project team for cost-effective and efficient deliverables within the portfolio and enterprise.

+ Assist in developing project team roles and responsibilities, ensuring clarity on expectations and deliverables within the portfolio and enterprise.

+ Ensure internal and external design resources adhere to appropriate standards and agreements within the portfolio and enterprise.

+ Drive adherence to Capital project work processes and practices outlined in the Chemours Project System (CPS) at both portfolio and enterprise levels.

The following is required for this role:

+ At least 15 years leadership experience, successfully managing significant industrial manufacturing capital projects with a focus on safety, timeliness, quality, and budget adherence.

+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

+ Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements for capital projects, especially in highly regulated and high-hazard industries.

+ Advanced knowledge in engineering and design, particularly for complex capital projects.

+ Demonstrated results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving project goals.

+ Proven track record in implementing new initiatives and out-of-the-box thinking, ensuring accountability for cost and schedule adherence.

+ Proven experience working with operations and business leadership to address short- and long-term capital investment needs.

+ Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, agile ways of working, and preferably holds a PMP certification.

+ Excellent leadership and people management skills.

+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to work in a dynamic environment, make sound decisions under pressure, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
