Stable company located in the Northern Delaware area is looking to hire a Fixed Asset Accountant with public accounting expertise. In this role, you will maintain client records, assist with book depreciation calculations, prepare monthly journal entries, maintain general ledger activities as needed, assist with budgeting, prepare financial reports, perform account reconciliations, and assist with ad hoc projects as needed. The ideal Fixed Asset Accountant should have the ability to quickly identify the need to purchase fixed assets and complete the appropriate purchase requisition process.

Primary Responsibilities

- Perform accounting research

- Report on status of capital investments

- Maintain fixed assets files

- Ensure internal controls align with company procedures

- Assist with fixed assets and capitalized costs month end transactions

- Identify areas for process improvement

- Provide documentation for external and internal auditors

- Implement new systems and technologies

Requirements

The ideal Fixed Asset Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/or related field.

Other requirements for the Fixed Asset Accountant role include and are not limited to:

- 2+ years’ accountant experience

- Public accounting experience

- Peoplesoft is a plus

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
