Primary Function This position will be part of the IT Communication Services Team supporting Christiana Care Health Services and will provide primary support for the Avaya Communications Voice platform. This system must be highly dependable and available 24x7 and must function at peak efficiency as the primary voice platform used across the enterprise. The voice platform includes the Avaya Communication Manager, Avaya Communication Server (CS1000 - Legacy Nortel Opt 81), Avaya IX Message, Call Pilot Voice Voicemail, Avaya Aura Contact Center, and Avaya Contact Recorder. To support the communications platform, this individual would be expected to assist in managing the operation, maintenance, versioning and upgrading throughout its lifecycle as well as establishing best practices, techniques, and procedures essential to maintaining the application's optimal performance. Christiana Care has an excellent working relationship with its Avaya Partner as one of their largest clients. This individual would also be expected to collaborate with their technicians and engineering teams on identified enhancements and performing the necessary upgrades to the voice applications in a timely manner. The individual applying for this position should have strong technical working experience of the Avaya Communication Manager, Avaya Communication Server (CS1000 - Legacy Nortel Opt 81), Avaya IX Message, Call Pilot Voice Voicemail, Avaya Aura Contact Center, and Avaya Contact Recorder. They will need to be proficient in both the VoIP and traditional TDM telephony environment along with a strong knowledge of structured cabling. They should possess basic network connectivity skills and knowledge of TCP /IP, SIP protocols and troubleshooting, technical background in application and server support. This position will also be responsible for working within a team and requires excellent personnel communication skills. Proven experience with collaborating with customers to understand their communication needs and being able to translate those needs into deliverable solutions is required. The individual applying for this position needs to demonstrate proven ability to balance strong technical skills with the ability to interact with customers to share and deliver solutions and services. This position will be part of a team that provides not only the Telecommunication Infrastructure Services but also Vocera Services, Nurse Call, and Overhead page to the organization and would be expected to gain understanding and support of these services as well. This position requires a 50% work time being onsite and on call to support these services which is rotated among the team members. Education and Experience Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent work experience is required. Five to Ten years of experience in PBX, voicemail and contact center at a systems level. Avaya Certifications desired but not required. Experience in leading technical projects teams is highly desirable. Previous Healthcare experience highly desired.
