Essential Duties:
Maintain and make repairs to the facility and all building systems to include light fabrication work.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, lubrication and adjustments on all equipment on time with minimal disruption to production.
Use diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and repair all warehouse material handling and building equipment.
Refer to technical manuals, parts and schematic diagrams to obtain information needed to maintain equipment. Order parts from vendors as needed.
Utilize computerized maintenance management software (Maintscape) to record work performed and labor hours/parts used for repairs and preventative maintenance items.
Evaluate and communicate spare parts needs and usage.
Plan and execute assigned projects.
Maintain the grounds including mowing, irrigation & snow removal.
Industrial battery watering, maintenance, testing and repair.
Membership of and participation with the site's emergency response team.
Participate in periodic internal and external audits.
Occasional travel for outside training or meetings.
Work with other technicians and perform duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Temperature extremes from -10 degrees in the freezer to 100+ outside during the summer.
Work in situations where human error could result in serious financial loss or personal injury.
Extensive standing/walking on concrete floors and working at heights.
Subject to being in an on-call rotation and occasional holiday work.
Safety Responsibility:
Assumes responsibility for the workplace safety of self and co-workers, and for the safety conditions of the work location.
We need you to have:
High school diploma or GED and valid driver's license required.
Physically able to access all areas of the facility for installation and repair of equipment and to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to safely operate powered equipment.
Good interpersonal and communication skills. Computer literate.
Commitment to perform duties in a safe manner.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
Experience with 120V/277V single phase and 480V three phase electricity. Proficient working with AC/DC power & control circuits.
Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics.
We'd like you to have:
At least one year demonstrated excellent performance as a Maintenance Technician I or two years' experience in a maintenance trade such as electrical, mechanical or HVAC.
