WRA is currently seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer in our Wilmington, DE office. This position will work with other WRA offices on projects in other regions as well. Responsibilities will include hydrologic/hydraulic (H/H) studies and drainage, stormwater management (SWM) and erosion/sediment control (ESC) design primarily for transportation projects. Responsibilities will include the following: Performing hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) watershed analysis Preparation or modification of CADD drawings/ construction plan documents Water quality, quantity, and green infrastructure design Storm sewer conduit design Erosion and sediment control design Bridge/culvert hydraulics Other duties may include performing GIS based project background analysis, utilization of H&H software, technical report preparation, and construction cost estimating. Some field work may be required, therefor the candidate will need a vehicle or access to transportation for this position. will occur. A car is required for this position. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering with 5-10 years of relevant experience Licensed as a Registered Professional Engineer required Experience designing drainage, stormwater management systems/BMP’s, erosion and sediment pollution controls; and preparing contract documents preferred. Experience with H/H design software including HY-8, NRCS (TR-55/TR-20); HydroCAD, StreamStats, HEC-RAS, et. al preferred Hands-on experience with MicroStation CADD software. Understanding of 3D design, including OpenRoads Designer, a plus.
