Saul Ewing is seeking a project manager to join its team. The Knowledge Project Manager is responsible for driving forward the firm’s KM priorities through project prioritization, implementation and adoption. This role will also help advance the quality of the firm’s knowledge assets to ensure KM solutions are effective and achieve business goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Drives the intake, evaluation, and prioritization of knowledge projects in consultation with the KM Director and project requestor(s) and in alignment with firm strategic priorities. Performs due diligence on each project to determine the best solution (e.g., technology, process development, education). Leads the identification, assessment and management of vendors needed to complete KM priorities. Roadmaps the approach to KM projects and ensures deadlines are satisfied and goals are achieved. Crafts project content, including guidelines, directional emails, written processes, etc. Determines when the quality of knowledge assets needs to be improved for achievement of KM goals and collaborates with the relevant data owners/contributors to improve data architecture and/or quality control. Collaborates closely with other firm functions (e.g., IS, Finance, Marketing, Talent, Practice Management) on cross-functional KM initiatives and works to identify opportunities to synchronize and streamline projects to achieve multiple common/related objectives. Works closely with the KM apps team on the development of KM projects and the KM management and analytics team on the maintenance and leveraging of KM solutions. Helps spearhead the communication of new KM platforms to the relevant firm constituents and ensures successful adoption. Identifies KPIs to measure the success of each KM effort, and tracks engagement with KM platforms and compliance with KM processes. Stays apprised of the latest KM trends and tools to assess options that could be valuable to the firm. Contributes to KM thought leadership on behalf of the firm. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Advanced interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to apply discretion and decision-make Comfort managing expectations and setting realistic timelines Experience setting KPIs, performing data analysis and managing big data Strong grasp on the various operational functions within a law firm Technical acumen and ability to efficiently understand a multitude of systems and tools Comfort managing vendors and third party resources Skilled at publicly presenting and drafting written content Passion for legal innovation and the advancement of business solutions Creative, out of the box thinker REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a law firm or professional services environment within operations Bachelor's degree Project management tool experience For example: Monday, Teams, or Smartsheets Physical Demands of Position: Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the following during the work day: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (working at a computer) Repetitive movement (i.e. heavy computer/keyboard use) May require occasional light lifting (files, copy paper, etc.) In addition to the essential functions outlined above: Individual in this position will provide additional assistance and support as directed by their supervisor. The pay for this position will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, education, external market data, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
