ChristianaCare's Medical Group is looking to hire a Full time Senior Medical Assistant to support the Primary Care, Newcastle practice. The Senior Medical Assistant is responsible for delivering and maintaining quality patient care. Will assist providers in the examination and treatment of patientswith virtual and on-site appointments and will also manage the practice's VFC program. Work Schedule: Monday- Friday: 8:30am- 5:00pm. Flexibility for an early/late shift to accommodate non-traditional hours as needed. Responsibilities: Rooms patients for virtual and on-site within the practice to include taking and recording patient Vitals. Performs point of care testing, injections, medication administration and EKGs as per practice needs. Assist clinician with examinations/procedures. Prepares exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment. Completes necessary patient-specific paperwork as per practice needs. Qualifications: High School Graduate or Equivalent A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years' experience is preferred.
