Chemours is seeking a Mechanical /Reliability Engineer Intern to join our Engineering Technology team! This position will report directly to the Engineering Technology Manager .
As a Mechanical/Reliability Engineer Intern, you will work closely with the mobile equipment engineer and mobile asset team gaining valuable experience through hands-on reliability engineering projects impacting the rail and ISO fleets. You will have exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom.
Effective engineering interns will have the ability to communicate with impact, have strong self-awareness, and will be naturally inquisitive.
Location: Wilmington, DE or Remote
Hours: Regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per week
Preferred First Term: May – August 2023
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Analyzing equipment performance and recommending inspection intervals for rail and ISO fleets.
+ Establish reliability performance levels using reliability analysis software.
+ Compile and analyze documentation needed to update tank car Certificates of Construction
+ Participating in process safety management activities
+ Contributingto team meetings and conference calls
The following is required for this role :
+ Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a rising Junior or above at time of assignment
+ Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineeringor similar fields
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Detail-oriented, highly organized

+ Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
+ 3.0 GPA or above
+ Demonstrated ability to manage and work with large datasets
